1- Nanoplasmonic Anti-counterfeiting Labels
In this project, arrays of anisotropic nano-apertures dry-etched in a thin film of Al were employed for creating full-color anti-counterfeiting images.
Because of the polarization selectivity in the anisotropic structure, it was possible to write a set of independent data/image on a single sample.
One application of this plasmonic nano-pixel for fabrication of smallest QR-codes.
2- Plastic Lasers for Biosensing
In this project, a combination of an organic laser and a hydrogel recognition layer was used for fabrication of photonic biosensors which can be used for Environmental Monitoring, Biomedical Applications, and Industrial Safety.
In order to demonstrate the performance of the photonic biosensor avidin-biotin interaction was implemented.
A new type of nanolasers was developed by doping core-shell nanoplasmonic particles into a thin film of a gain medium.
Random lasing was observed when it was pumped with pulsed Nd:YAG laser beam.
